Safeguarding privacy

Safeguarding the privacy of visitors to madebymatelier.nl is an important task for us. That is why in our privacy policy we describe what information we collect and how we use this information.

About our privacy policy

Matelier (Mathilde Polderman, Chamber of Commerce (KvK) 87923424) cares a great deal about your privacy. We therefore only process data that we need for (improving) our services, and handle with care the information we have collected about you and your use of our services. We never make your data available to third parties for commercial purposes.

This privacy policy applies to the use of the website and the services of Matelier made accessible through it. The effective date of these terms is 31/10/2026; when a new version is published, the validity of all previous versions lapses. This privacy policy describes which data about you is collected by us, what this data is used for, and with whom and under what conditions this data may possibly be shared with third parties. We also explain to you in what way we store your data, how we protect your data against misuse, and which rights you have with regard to the personal data you have provided to us.

Which data

For an order: name, email address, telephone number (optional), shipping address and the products you order. For the contact form: name, email address and your message. For the newsletter: your email address and language preference. For a review: your name, rating and text. For "email me when it's back": your email address and the product.

What for

To process your order, ship it and keep you informed; to answer your question; and, only if you have subscribed, to send you our newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link at the bottom of every email.

Who we share data with

Only with parties that are necessary to handle your order: Mollie (payments), PostNL (delivery), Sanity (storage of orders and messages), Resend (sending order emails) and Cloudflare (hosting and visitor statistics without cookies). We never sell your data.

How long

We keep order data for 7 years because of the statutory retention obligation. We keep messages and newsletter data until you ask us to delete them.

Security

The website operates via a secure connection (https). Your data is stored in a protected environment to which only Matelier has access, and payment details do not end up with us but go through Mollie.

Cookies

This website does not use tracking or advertising cookies. We only store your shopping basket, wish list and language choice in your own browser. Videos from Instagram only load after you press play. From that moment on, the privacy rules of Instagram (Meta) apply.

Your rights

You may view your data, have it amended or have it deleted. To do so, send a message to [email protected] or use the contact form. If you do not agree with how we handle your data, you can lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
